About
Grant’s story
I’ve had to retire earlier because I had health problems: a double knee replacement, four months between each operation, as I was always in the transport industry through my career, even in the logging or freight transport sector, as a truck driver.
I found it a little bit difficult to survive on the superannuation alone, so I put my equipment to a good use that I already had. I have done a few jobs around New Zealand now, north and south, as you can see from the pictures: some of the items that I have transported in the past.
I also made it into a limited company as I got into it, as I do enjoy meeting people along the way and hearing about their stories as well. That is an interesting part of the job. I find knowing the people that you’re doing the job for makes for good relationships with customers.
